Linking your Aadhar card to your PAN card is essential to curb tax evaders and also to get benefits to you.
Moreover, now it is mandatory to link the two to file your ITR.
Go to the online ITR (income tax return) portal and register using your PAN (Permanent Account Number) as your user ID. (Link on last slide)
Once you log in using the user ID and date of birth, go to ‘Profile Settings’ and click on ‘Link Aadhar’.
Verify your personal information (name, gender and date of birth) is correct and then enter your Aadhar number and click on ‘Link Now’.
You will see a message saying you have successfully linked your Aadhar to your PAN if all details above are correct.
