What is the procedure for enlisting in the South Korean army?

Since the dispute between North Korea and South Korea, because of the increase in tension and the ongoing issues between the two countries, all well bodied South Korean men who are 28 years old have to serve in the military compulsory. If you don’t want to, you need to serve in the Korean Prison System.

There will be a rotation between the Prison Laundry and the Prison Kitchen duties, and the term for it is twice as the Military term, which in military you have to serve for 18-21 months, in the Prison System you have to serve for 24-36 months.

Jin joins the military: Is BTS avoiding enlistment?

No, it’s every Korean’s duty to serve in the military and BTS is no exception. The South Korean government had given BTS an exemption from going to the military as BTS boosted South Korea’s economy a lot, amounting to billions of dollars per year. When they will leave, as is the rule, South Korea will inevitably go for a loss.

But as BTS has promised, they are going to return as a group when their military services are complete and will once again grace everyone’s screen and hearts.
