Bang Si Hyuk

But originally, it wasn’t so successful when it started in 2005. Bang Si Hyuk, the founder of BigHit Entertainment opened this label to get the people and make them grow into their best idol selves. Though the label was quite small, it strived to be one of the best entertainment companies in Korea.

The company behind BTS

This dream was set into motion when BTS came into the company. Hardworking, young and talented, BTS changed the tide of k-pop. The company supported them throughout their debut and made sure that they try their best to provide the group with everything they could. Bang Si Hyuk especially made it a point that they get the best resources and exposure. Due to this, BTS is now the biggest boy band in the world. And hence, as time passed, BigHit grew along with BTS. And now, it has become such a huge corporation that it has artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, J Balvin, and Demi Lovato under them.

Recent Changes

Despite the new changes, including their name from BigHit to HYBE, the core of the company stays the same. HYBE still tries its best for its artists and supports them. Besides BTS, they have debuted groups like TXT, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and talented solo artists like Lee Hyun. It has also included groups like GFRIEND, PH1Harmony, and SEVENTEEN.

Hence, after the company got big, the other companies under the corporation are BigHit MUSIC, BELIFT LAB, SOURCE MUSIC, PLEDIS Entertainment, KOZ ENTERTAINMENT, HYBE LABELS JAPAN, ADOR (“All Doors One Room”) Ithaca Holdings
